After the incredible performance of the 1080 and 1150 SURGE, we went further. Welcome to the SURGE 1240.

By progressively increasing aspect ratio as the SURGE range grows, we’ve preserved the speed, glide and efficiency that define the smaller sizes, without allowing the larger wings to become slow or draggy.

The result is a 1240 that delivers the low end lift and effortless pumping you expect from a wing of this size, while retaining the speed, carving ability and unmistakable surf character of the SURGE.

Such is the versatility of the 1240 that we’ve tested it dock starting, downwind, parawing, winging, SUP foiling and just about every other type of foiling we could think of. In every discipline, its accessibility and huge usable range have stood out.

The medium-high aspect ratio allows it to glide and carry speed effortlessly through flatter sections, while rewarding a slower, more relaxed pumping cadence than some dedicated downwind foils. But roll it onto rail and the real SURGE character appears. It carves with the freedom, control and surf feel of the smaller sizes, making it remarkably dynamic for a wing with this much low-end performance.

Compared with the Fireball 1350, the SURGE 1240 turns more easily, offers better tip behaviour, more forgiving pitch and roll characteristics, and a significantly more surfable feel.

Compared with the Spitfire 1180, the SURGE 1240 delivers more low-speed lift, easier pumping, far better roll characteristics and significantly improved glide.
