Load your back foot and the wing banks immediately – not with the gradual, committed arc of a high-aspect downwind wing, but with a sharp, skateboard-like pivot that rewards intuitive body movement. For surf foiling, this means you can follow the pocket of a wave without pre-planning your carve three seconds early.

Glide: Where the Surge surprised riders most was in its pumping efficiency. Despite the surfy turning character, it pumps well between sections and holds speed through flat spots that would kill the momentum on older surf foils. What rear wing and fuselage pairs best with the Surge?

For surf foiling: a shorter fuselage (Advance or Advance+) sharpens the turning even further. Pair with a Skinny rear wing at the same span as your current Freeride for more speed and glide without losing control.
