Why Choose Us?
Our New Zealand-based design team — engineers, marine architects, foil scientists and board shapers — is led by Adrian Roper, an internationally recognised windsurf, kitesurf and now foil innovator with over 40 years of design and manufacturing experience behind him. He runs an agile loop of rider feedback, computer-aided design and on-water testing, with new concepts and range additions hitting the beach almost every week. Once a design earns the design group's initial sign-off, it goes out to a wider rider team headed by AXIS founder Evan Mavridoglou for real-world feedback — and not only from advanced riders. That's deliberate: at the core of the AXIS philosophy is the belief that our gear has to be as easy to ride as it is high-performance. So by the time an AXIS product reaches you, you can trust it's the real deal.
